- Dear ShareWare Vendor/Sysop:
-
- This file contains my distribution policy and information on all products.
-
- All products are protected under Australian, United States and
- international law by registered copyrights. As a shareware
- distributor, you have permission to distribute my shareware
- in its original electronic form as long as you:
-
- 1. Identify it as shareware (with an appropriate definition)
-
- 2. Leave all intellectual property (copyright) notices in place
-
- 3. and As long as I do not request that you stop.
-
- Essentially, that's it! I won't ask you to sign an agreement but I do
- ask that you give me some notification if you intend to distribute.
-
- If you use the VENDINFO system, please refer to VENDINFO.DIZ.
-
- You may archive my programs, unarchive them, use your own installation
- routines, include them with other programs on the same diskette, and do
- essentially anything you want as long as you follow these simple rules.
- I want the widest possible distribution, and don't want to stand in
- your way so long as you are honest with our mutual customer.
-
- My normal distribution sequence is:
-
- 1 New versions are offered to our registered users and are
- automatically shipped to new registrants.
-
- 2 New versions are posted on CIS (use IBMFF on ID 100033,2563)
- and on the Internet at garbo.uwasa.fi, SimTel, and mirrors.
-
- 3 Major revisions and new products are released through SDN.
-
- 4 All ASP distribution members are included in the regular ASP mailing.
- This saves both of us both money and effort; if you are not an ASP
- vendor or bulletin board member, please consider joining.
-
- 5 Then, I send copies of major revisions of software to non-ASP
- distributors who have notified us of their interest. If you are a
- catalog house, send me a copy of the catalog in which the program
- appears, together with a copy of the diskette(s) containing the
- program(s) you wish to distribute; I will send you a copy of any
- major updates to our software. If you run a bulletin board, send me
- a diskette(s) containing the program(s) you wish to distribute, and
- your mailing address, and I will update the diskette and mail it
- back to you.
-
- If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints, please contact me:

- Key Words: XED BINARY FILE EDITOR SHAREWARE PROGRAMMING DATA TOOLS ASP
-
- Description: XED v1.1b A Unique Hex/Binary File Editor <ASP>
-
- XED is a simple to use hex file editor. XED permits binary files to be
- edited in much the same way as normal text files. Files are initially
- viewed as containing (bytes/16) paragraphs. Bytes from these paragraphs
- are presented on the screen as hex digits to left, and as ASCII
- characters to the right. Typical uses include repair of backup file
- headers; editing of string constants in executables; creation or
- expansion of binary data files or any other situation which requires
- low-level modification to a file. Unlike many other hex editors, XED
- is not restricted to editing the file as it appears on the disk. The
- file is viewed as a stream of binary characters. This allows you to
- edit and change any binary file. The only restriction to the size of
- the edited file is your hard disk capacity. Features: Unlimited file
- size. 28/43/50 line modes. Full mouse support. Edit, insert and delete
- data from any file. Undo and Undo all edits; Goto offsets, markers and
- changes. Search and replace ASCII or HEX strings. DOS shell. Edit bytes
- in binary! Menus. File information. Command line configurable. Uses
- virtual memory EMS/EMM or disk. Generate 'C' data definitions. On line
- ASCII/HEX/DEC/BINARY/OCT tables. Use Bitwise editing operators.
- Evaluate 'C' like assignment expressions. 7/8 bit ASCII display. Point
- and edit any byte with mouse / cursor. Edit data as ASCII strings or
- strings of 2 digit hex numbers or edit bits. Intel(c) Unassembler
- (including FP and 32bit instructions). Import file. 39 markers which
- can be retrieved from a menu. Edit multiple files. Translate numeric
- values, and more+. This release is 'upgradable' to the registered
- version by the application of a validation key sent when you register
- (denag). Fully documented. ASP shareware. Australian. $US 15.

- Key Words: SF SUPERFIND FILE FINDER SHAREWARE TOOLS ASP
-
- Description: SF v7.0 SuperFind - A File Finder with a Difference <ASP>
-
- SF is an improved file find utility. Most file finders require the
- search specification to be given with each invocation. As each
- directory is scanned, files are matched with your file spec. SF
- scans one, more or all drives once only, after which, you simply enter
- the file spec interactively and SF locates those files. Since SF is
- interactive, successive finds can be made instantly and without
- time penalty. File specs can be in the form of a familiar file name or
- wildcard, or alternatively a filesize, an attribute(s), a date or even a
- date range. Often when searching for files, you wish to perform some
- operation on them. Usually you'll have to record the results of a find,
- create a batch file or some such list and perform those operations.
- With SF you can specify a command string to execute on each found file.
- SF substitutes the '$' in your command string with the found file name
- and then executes the statement. This can be useful in situations like
- removing all *.BAK files; copying all files in a date range to a disk;
- start applications and so on. When SF executes a statement, it firstly
- swaps itself out of memory, releasing memory for the executing
- statement. Output from SF can be redirected to a file, printer or
- COM port permitting the creation of file lists. This release uses
- virtual memory to store the contents of the drive scan. The
- number of files entries that SF can store is limited only by your
- hard disk capacity. SF will scan large networks with no problems.
- Registration includes the latest copy on disk. Fully documented.
- ASP shareware. Australian. $US 9.50.
